The school is the only one on the island and has an Early Learning and Childcare unit. For secondary schooling the children go to Oban High. There is a school bus to transport the children to and from school.
The building is over one hundred years old and comprises a classroom, pre 5/ general purpose room, office, kitchen and diningroom. Lunches are prepared daily on the premises. An outbuilding provides extra storage. There is a large, sloping, grassy, play area with a climbing frame, picnic benches and a small vegetable garden. Small trees and shrubs have been planted at the bottom of the playing field to create a wildlife garden.
